SoDo :: Starbucks Headquarters

SoDo :: Starbucks Headquarters, originally uploaded by slightlynorth.

I work right by this Starbucks! In the SoDo hood past downtown Seattle. SlightlyNorth used a Fuji Instax 200 instant camera… it was so shiny I thought it was a magnifier frame of some sort. But those cameras take “Polaroid” instance camera shots, remember those. SlightlyNorth did an awesome job… check out his work on Flickr.

I’d have loved to have taken this picture! The Seattle PI closed it’s offices and only now runs the online newspaper. There were hundreds of paper vending machines, empty for weeks. They’re mostly all removed now.

What Inspires Me: Cairo

I heart Cairo! It’s one building up from the corner of summit and mercer on the Hill. Like their site describes it’s ‘an ever-evolving arts space open to all kinds of circumstance’. I’ve seen everything from art exhibitions, book release parties, to performances. I also hear they have their our own collection of unique Cairo apparel.

About a week ago… it looked like this…
