Weeks ago I attended an Seattle SXSW meetup / tweetup. It was a totally fun event hosted by Ray Page and attended by designers, developers, marketeers, and technology folks all on a mission to drink beer, tweet, and most importantly, win the coveted FREE SXSW Interactive Badge for this year’s event in Austin, TX.
Well, folks, I’m happy to tell you I won and will be in Austin this Saturday March 13th until Tuesday March 16th! It’s my first time in Austin and at SXSW and I can’t wait! I have my schedule all lined up to enjoy panels such as Can the Real-Time Web Be Realized?, Web Evolution: The Rise of Mobile, APIs and Runtimes, Designing the First Fifteen Minutes, workshops like Broadcast to Broadband: Bringing Motion Graphics to Interactive TV and The HTML5 vs. Flash Debate Invades Mobile, and speakers such as Valerie Casey (founder and Executive Director of the Designers Accord) Gary Vaynerchuk, Evan Williams, Cathy Erway (Not Eating Out in NY blog) and Nick Campbell (I just love his blog!).
Oh and there are parties… lots of parties… haha, we’ll see how long I can last after a full days of soaking up all this yummy Techno goodness! And the weather looks lovely, mid-70s all week and 78 and sunny on Sunday
